I received a notice last night. It's July, and my domain will expire on October 1, 2009. Yes, it's going to be a year soon since I won this domain from Calvin.

So what did I do?  Not wasting any time, I checked my paypal balance, which had just enough to renew my blog and extend its life, for at least a year. Thanks of course to my winnings courtesy of Me and Mine.

I realized just now, that this blog may survive if I keep on joining contests, blogging about things I'm passionate about and talk about my kids. It might just survive.

Well, prices for domain registration was around $10++ but I was able to bring it down to $7.49 plus ICANN fee of $0.2, which makes the grand price of $7.69. Yes, I do know how to save money.... sometimes.

I'm sure at these times you'd like to know how I was able to lower the price for my domain renewal.

The steps are actually simple. I used the wonderful services of Google. I've learned that there are coupon codes for just about anything in the internet. If you want or interested in buying your own new domain, prices are at $9.99 at GoDaddy but you can lower the price to around $7.69 by keying in go daddy coupon codes in the search area. Or you can try DealTaker.

So if ever you're planning to get your own domain. Go ahead. Claim your stake in the world wide web and the fun part is, it doesn't have to cost so much.
